This site will help to see if you are eligible for food assistance (SNAP), cash assistance (WFNJ/TANF or WFNJ/GA), and health Insurance (NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid). From there you can apply for services or learn about additional resources. Part of the New Jersey Department of Human Services.

Special Automobile Insurance Policy (SAIP)
New Jersey's Special Automobile Insurance Policy helps make limited auto insurance coverage available to drivers who are eligible for Federal Medicaid with hospitalization. Such drivers can obtain a medical coverage-only policy at a cost of $365 a year.

Taxes

IRS Free File
If you make $79,000 or less annually before taxes, you can file your taxes online for free with IRS Free File or be directed to a tax filing trusted partner. For selected states, residents do not have to pay for a 3rd party tax service. This service is provided for free by the IRS.
Free Tax Return Preparation for Taxpayers
Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA, is for individuals of low to moderate income, individuals with disabilities, and non-English speaking taxpayers. Tax Counseling for the Elderly, or TCE, is for individuals 60 years of age or older.
Taxpayer Advocate Service
Taxpayer Advocate Service is a free service for those experiencing financial difficulty and issues related to taxes and who qualify for help.
